Why A Facebook Fan Page

You may be hesitant in getting a Facebook Fan page for your business because of what may be an increased time commitment to making it positive. That is a very real concern, because as you know the average daily time spent on Facebook by US users is 15.5 minutes per day. What if a number of them really need to hear from you daily—really need their 15 minutes from you and your company? As is the case with most businesses, you don’t have extra time to maintain yet another website—even if it is used for marketing purposes.

As is the case with most business owners, your time is best spent on a daily basis providing value to your customers and guidance to your staff, if you have one. The thought of adding something else to your schedule could give you a reason to stop and think before you add this Facebook Fan Page to the way that you market your business. If Facebook is as busy as many say it is (its user base of 600 million is twice the size of the entire US population), then having a Fan Page could mean more time spent in front of the computer, taking you away from those things that make your business work well.

But having a Fan Page does not have to mean that you will spend hours every day slaving over a computer ignoring your customers and prospects. It doesn’t mean that you will need to have some very technical training on how to set up a Fan Page to do things that are over the top. There are several ways to start your Fan Page to take advantage of the traffic that is already present. There are also ways to get additional traffic to your Fan Page without having to spend a great deal of time or capital. The key to doing this is in the setting up the Fan Page.

A Facebook Fan Page can be setup so that it:

1) Automatically posts relevant articles and notes to people who sign on to your Fan Page

2) Automatically posts things that you do online to market your business

3) Sends messages to all of the other social networks

4) Provides relevant information to those who visit the page

5) Collects the contact information of those who visit your page and “like” what they see

6) ‘Autoplays’ promotional videos

7) Tracks how many users come to your site as well as what they do when they are there

8) Give access to your website, blog or other sites

Those are just a few of the things that your Facebook Fan Page can be set up to do and then not necessarily require you to have to manage it. So you could have all of these things working for you and never have to touch the page to manage it.

We are experienced at setting up Fan Pages for our clients that don’t require their time.
